About Us

The Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County (SEA) owns the LEED® Platinum Certified David L. Lawrence Convention Center (DLCC) as well as Heinz Field, PNC Park, PPG Paints Arena, the North Shore Riverfront Park, the North Shore Parking Garage, and oversees the Lower Hill Redevelopment Project.

The SEA partners with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and VisitPittsburgh to make Pittsburgh a premier destination.

The  LEED® Platinum Certified David L. Lawrence Convention Center is managed by SMG, the world leader in venue management, marketing and development. SMG's staff works closely with the hotel industry, VisitPittsburgh, vendors/suppliers, and labor unions to help facilitate events and deliver the best environment for planners and attendees.

The DLCC strives to make all of our guests welcome by meeting or exceeding all ADA requirements. The DLCC also works closely with show managers to facilitate accessibility for all members of our community. Guests who require special assistance may contact the DLCC in advance of their visit.

Accessible Parking

The DLCC has a 700-car parking garage attached to the building. Numerous accessible parking options are on the first level of the garage, with close access to the ballroom entrance and East Lobby entrance.

Drop-off Points

The DLCC has curb cut-outs at the East Lobby and West Lobby entrances on 10th Street. These cut-outs provide easy access to the main lobby areas. Sliding glass doors and accessible doors are located at each main lobby with clear access to elevators.

All restroom facilities at the DLCC are equipped for standard wheelchair accessibility. The Center also provides family restrooms, which are located throughout the building.

All elevators are accessible, are equipped with Braille signage, and lead to all levels of the Convention Center.

Service Animals

Service animals that are specifically trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability are welcome in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. All service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness, and be under control of the guest with a disability or a designee.

Wheelchair Availability

The DLCC has complimentary non-motorized wheelchairs available for guests to use while on site. Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are located at the East Lobby security desk, West Lobby security desk, and the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom security desk. Wheelchairs are not permitted to leave the property.
